Response 1:
After my previous feedback, I am changing my original hypothesis. With my original hypothesis, I have been unable to find a cohesive set of experiments that examine the data I am looking to analyze.
Among individuals aged 10-17, higher levels of screen exposure are positively correlated with rates of diagnosed mental health disorders.

For individuals aged 10-17, I will examine both males and and mobile devices. Diagnosed mental health disorders will consist of depression and anxiety. This will be measured by how many individuals are treated by a mental health professional for these issues, whether by prescription medication or other forms of treatment.
I will operationalize this hypothesis by measuring samples of individuals in this age range that are exposed to increasing amounts of screen time in a time period and compare that with the rate of diagnosed mental health disorders seen in each group of individuals.
The dependent variables will be the rates of diagnosed mental health disorders and the amount of screen exposure. The independent variable would be the individuals aged 10-17. The individuals’ ages will remain the same but the rates of diagnose mental health disorders would change based on the number of hours of screen exposure.
Screen exposure would be measured by hours in a day over the span of a week. The rates of diagnosed mental health disorders would be measured by the number of individuals in this age range that were treated for depression or anxiety over a year period.
The number of hours of screen exposure would be discrete, because it will be measured in countable numbers. The rates of mental health disorders would also be discrete, because there would be a countable number of individuals treated for mental health disorders
