This week you read about both the screening and assessment processes and the differences between them. It is also important to note that there is a distinction between a screening test and the process of screening, and the same holds true for assessment. For this discussion, refer to the chapter “Instruments for Screening and Assessing Co-Occurring Disorders” in Screening and Assessment of Co-Occurring Disorders in the Justice System (SAMHSA, 2019). Choose one screening test and one assessment test and respond to the following regarding the two tests you have chosen:

Identify and describe the two tests you selected, and summarize the positive features and concerns discussed for each test.
Explain why they are a screening test and an assessment test, respectively.
Discuss any special training needed to administer the tests described.
Describe how tests, such as these, fit into the overall process of screening and assessment. 
Explain what else is involved in a full assessment.
