This is going to be an “open space” discussion board. I’m giving you a lot of freedom to pick a few concepts from this week’s content (besides the ones you already covered in the “leadership” assignment a few items back). I grouped these two topics, conflict and leadership, because the two concepts are firmly joined together. Conflict resolution is inevitably a function of strong leadership (formal or informal) and one of the inevitable functions of a leader is to manage some or several forms of conflict (intrapersonal, interpersonal, group, inter-organizational, etc.). So, talk to me about what you see are the important connections between conflict management and leadership. And then talk about how training and development can be important in this mix. I’d like to hear some kind of specific example to illustrate your discussion, and I’d like to see that you are using terminology and content from this week to enhance your answer.
