This is a document which describes your final paper. Nearly every profession in the world requires a prospectus – for example a business may write a business plan, scientists may write a description of their research. When you apply for any grants or funding you are required to usually write a cover letter or a proposal of your work.
For this class you are writing a prospectus which should include the topic of your final paper, the works of art or ideas you would like to engage with, the argument or concerns you would like to address and how you may structure these arguments. Please formulate an overall question (or series of smaller related questions) through which you will argue for a particular approach to exhibition and/or art making.  In so doing, please identify 2-3 assigned readings, and at least one case study artwork/exhibition, that will support your thesis.
In short, this becomes a learning process to learn how to articulate and explain your work in a concise manner to audiences (in this case your teacher). I want you to use this opportunity to seriously think about your final paper so that based on this, I am also able to give you feedback. This will make your ideas stronger and your final paper more persuasive and cohesive.
