There are 2 main branches of the nervous system the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. the central nervous system includes the brain spinal cord, neuron, nerves and cranial nerves. the peripheral nervous system includes all elements of the nervous system outside the central nervous system. the neurons are the building block for the nervous system. neurons had 4 parts Dendrites neuron fibers that receive messages cell body receives information from dendrites axon are fibers that carries information from cell body to neuron and axon terminals located at the end of axons to form synapses with the dendrites and cell bodies of other neurons.
