Over the last few weeks we have explored grassroots visions of sustainable agriculture, the intersections of education and well-being, and nutrition and nutritionism. This book review is a synthetic assignment that is intended to provide you a space to reflect on what you have each learned surrounding these concepts.
The first step in this assignment is to pick a book that thematically addresses either 1) education and sustainable development; 2) agroecology and sustainable agriculture; 3) nutrition and nutritionism.
A list of books is organized thematically below. I’m ok with you choosing different books than this list, but they must first be cleared by me, so please send in a Canvas message the title of your book, and a brief description of why you think it would be a good substitution for this assignment.
You do not need to buy one of these books; the University’s Interlibrary Loan System (ILL) will be able to acquire you a loaned copy. It is imperative that you put in a request for your book as soon as possible so as to ensure you have time to get a copy, read, and engage with it for this assignment.
