You are an outpatient PMHNP who is seeing John, a 28-year-old male who was recently hospitalized. John has a past history of psychotic episodes; however this particular hospitalization followed a suicide attempt and severely depressed mood. He has a history of multiple hospitalizations in his past, and has been given many previous diagnoses. He was stabilized on olanzapine and lithium carbonate.
