The client is a 42-year-old unmarried Caucasian (Italian American) male who is currently unhoused. He presents for services as referred by his Parole Officer (PO) due to history of receiving mental health services prior and during incarceration (with services estimated to be the last six (6) years, according to Probation/Parole records. The client is also being referred by his PO due to concerns with “things [the client] has been saying.” PO reports no overtly bizarre behavior, but indicated that the thought content he’s expressed “sounds a bit crazy.” The client explained that it is his perception that he was referred to this evaluation because he is trying to “get back on [his] feet,” but is currently “homeless,” according to the client. The client has been living in a tent at the beach. Client reports frustration/irritability associated with being unhoused and having to carry his belongings around town on the handlebars of a bicycle.
