students are to apply public policy concepts to write a three-to-five-page policy paper addressing an area of concern and how students will solve said issue. Throughout the semester, we will devote designated time in-class, in addition to student led work outside of lecture, to complete these policy papers.
Major categories of public policy to chose from are as follows:
Civil and Human Rights
Education
Global Warming/Environmental Concerns
Health Care and Reform
Immigration
Technology
The final policy paper, approximately three to five pages in length will have the following sections. Each section corresponds to a numbered section on the idea development worksheet (listed below).
Section I: Introduction (idea development worksheet
