Guru Nanak had a great distrust of ritual as one could engage in a ritual without the proper attitude. However, the Sikh congregation typically chants from their holy book the Granth. In your opinion could this be just another mindless ritual for some Sikhs?
Do you think Guru Nanak was correct to distrust ritual, as rituals serve to bring us together as a group?
Sikhism was created out of the Bhakti movement which sought to do away with caste and create a unified group where everyone is welcome. However, in your opinion, has Sikhism become another group that does not allow outsiders, and seeks to protect itself by creating a Sikh state?
