Target Behavior: Aggression

Operational Definition of Target Behavior: any instance where the child uses a part of his body to forcefully come into physical contact with another person or object resulting in observable markings on the skin, damage to the object and/or audible sounds from 3 feet away, forcefully propelling objects through the air towards other objects that are not intended for that purpose resulting in a displacement of at least 2 feet and observable damage to the object and/or an audible sound from 5 feet away, saliva exiting the mouth and making contact with another person from at least 6 inches away
Examples:
路 Hitting someone with a leg or arm resulting in a bruise or temporary red marking on the skin
路 Slapping someone with an open palm resulting on a red marking on the skin or audible sound from 3 feet away
路 Punching someone with a closed fist resulting in a bruise or temporary red marking on the skin
路 Spitting on another person from at least 6 inches away
路 Kicking a door resulting in a dent or scratch on the door and/or an audible sound from 1 foot away
路 Throwing objects at the ground or at a door that are not intended to be thrown from at least 1 foot away, resulting in a dent or scratch to the ground or door
Non-examples:
路 Saliva exiting the mouth as a result of speaking or chewing
路 Hugging
路 High-fives
路 Fist bumps
路 Throwing a ball in a play setting
路 Red markings on the skin as a result of accidentally falling on another person in a game setting
