Access the SIOP template in a typable format found in the Content tab titled SIOP Lesson Plan Materials.
Complete each section of the template. Use the Comment feature in Word to annotate your lesson plan and
describe in detail important features of your lesson.
Your lesson must address and include the following components of the SIOP model:
• Preparation
• Building background (including making the lesson culturally relevant to the students)
• Comprehensible input
• Strategies
• Interaction
• Practice/application
• Lesson delivery
• Review and assessment
Review brief descriptions of each of these components (above) from the author of your textbook here A detailed rubric for this assignment will be found in D2L in the Content tab titled SIOP Lesson Plan Materials. You should practice your presentation several times to ensure that you will meet BOTH the
requirements of the presentation and the time allotment.
