Objects and their Types
Suppose you are building a Python application for storing the names, birthdates, addresses of members, and relationships between family members for documenting family trees. Describe the strategy you would use to determine the data types you need for your application. Name some of the primitive objects you might use in this project and their data types. Provide a rationale for each of your object names and their types.
Find a reference that provides information on naming objects in Python. Explain how this resource influenced your object names, object types, or rationale.
When responding to peers, review their external resources. In your response, discuss how your resource and their resource are related or differ. Ensure that you consider what your peer wrote regarding the influence their resource had in their post.
Your initial post is due by 11:59 PM ET Wednesday. You must respond to two peers by Sunday at 11:59 PM. (Replying to a peer will not suffice.) You must respond to their contributions to the discussion board. You must access and digest any references your peer provided before responding. When you respond, make sure that you are adding to the conversation, focused on the topics of the discussion board, and discussing the information your peer has provided. Additionally, cite and reference any resources used when documenting your peer response per APA (2020; better known as APA 7).
Use examples or analogies to demonstrate your understanding. Use evidence to justify your reasoning. There are two primary sources of evidence: external sources and the results of an analysis you conduct (such as data science projects). You need evidence when you present information as if it is a fact. When you use external sources, unless you’re writing a literature review or bibliography, the entire purpose of an external source is to use their ideas as evidence to support your ideas. That brings me to the final point regarding the discussion requirements—how the work is assessed. When graded for your work, it is based on your ability to demonstrate your understanding of the concepts the assigned topics represent. Examples and analogies are some of the easier methods to demonstrate your understanding. When you regurgitate the words of others while presenting no or very few ideas of your own, you have not demonstrated understanding. You have demonstrated the ability to regurgitate.
