Choose one of the common myths about partner violence below. Write a counterargument based on what you have learned in your text and use at least one additional resource—make sure to use citations and references.
Myth 1: Domestic violence is rare and does not happen often.
Myth 2: Partner violence is only something that happens between heterosexual (men and women) couples.
Myth 3: Drugs and alcohol are usually the cause of partner violence.
Myth 4: Partner violence does not impact children. It is only between the couple.
Myth 5: Partner violence is usually a onetime occurrence.
