13033Assignment Instructions
In this course, you will build a project schedule based upon a project that you may encounter in real life. Examples of such a project include (but are not limited to):
1. Backyard deck
2. Building a house
3. Remodeling (kitchen, bathroom, garage, other)
4. Planning an event (wedding, family reunion, vacation, other)
5. Office relocation
6. Other work related project.
Each project must include at least 5 to 10 deliverables and at least 25 activities.
The project will involve deliverables that you will create throughout this and all remaining modules of the course.
Course Project Pt. 1 : Project charter and stakeholder analysis
For your chosen project, carry out the following activities:
a. Create the project charter: The charter is the formal authorization of the project. Create a simple project charter using the attached Charter form. You may search the school library or Internet for examples of a charter template or you can use the attached copy. This charter is for your selected project.
b. Stakeholder analysis: Stakeholders are the “players” involved in your project and include anyone with an interest in the outcome of the project. Create a list of stakeholders in your project and perform a simple stakeholder analysis using the attached Stakeholders form.
