Part 1: Evaluation Table
FOR PART 1, YOU WILL BE TASKED WITH COMPLETING THE EVALUATION TABLE TEMPLATE SHOWING DIFFERENT TYPES OF POWER WITHIN YOUR COMMUNITY, SUCH AS INDIVIDUALS, POWER HOLDERS, AND JUSTICE SYSTEMS. THESE ARE THE INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS THAT WILL HAVE THE MOST INFLUENCE ON CREATING CHANGE REGARDING YOUR COMMUNITY ISSUE. EXAMPLES OF INDIVIDUALS WOULD INCLUDE THOSE PRIVATE CITIZENS WHO HAVE AN INFLUENCE ON YOUR COMMUNITY ISSUE. POWER HOLDERS WOULD BE DEFINED AS THOSE INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS (E.G., CITY OR COUNTY OFFICIALS) WITH YOUR COMMUNITY THAT ACT AS DECISION MAKERS AND THOUGHT LEADERS REGARDING YOUR COMMUNITY ISSUE. LASTLY, JUSTICE SYSTEMS WOULD INCLUDE THOSE POLITICAL OR JUDICIAL INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS THAT WOULD IMPACT AND INFLUENCE YOUR COMMUNITY ISSUE ON A GREATER SCALE. REVIEW THE RESOURCE ON COMMUNITY POWER STRUCTURES TO GAIN A MORE IN-DEPTH UNDERSTANDING OF WHO THESE INDIVIDUALS LOOK LIKE WITHIN A COMMUNITY.

Complete the evaluation table template by listing the names of 3-4 individuals related to each group (i.e., individuals, power holders, and justice systems) and provide a brief explanation as to why you chose these individuals. You may add additional rows if desired.
Part 2: Narrated PowerPoint Presentation
Record a narrated PowerPoint presentation explaining your evaluation table template to your instructor.

Include your completed evaluation table template in your PowerPoint presentation.

Explain the following areas in your presentation and create one slide for each of the following:

Individuals Chosen: Describe why you chose these individuals related to each group (i.e., individuals, power holders, and justice systems).
APPLICABLE RESEARCH: EXPLAIN HOW YOUR RESEARCH ASSISTED YOU IN MAKING THE DECISION THAT THESE PARTIES ARE MOST APPLICABLE TO YOUR CHOSEN COMMUNITY ISSUE.
Reflection: Reflect and discuss how the identification of these parties might help you in completing the Week 7 final project.

Design Statement: Include a brief Design Statement explaining the process and tools you used to develop your work. Your statement should be about a paragraph or so, in your own words (rather than formally written), and unique to this assignment. Why are we asking for this? Find out more about Design Statements.

Finally, upload your video to YouTube as an UNLISTED video and share your link in the Online Text box for submission. You will not be able to upload any files.
