The dataset you will use is adapted from actual data provided by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) in Washington DC. WMATA is considering building an exclusive busway in the median of K Street in downtown Washington DC (see Figure 1). After conducting ride checks on various bus routes operating along the K Street corridor, WMATA has determined that the intersection of K Street with 17th Street and Connecticut Avenue has the highest passenger volume.
