Create a concept map that identifies your problem-based design topic
November 3, 2024
You will develop a concept map using the example provided in the media, Concept Maps in Curriculum Development. Creating a concept map will help you visualize the topics you want to include in your problem-based curriculum. The topics for the Concept Map should be related to the problem you identified in your Needs Assessment activity. The purpose of this activity is for you to have a clear picture of the main topic and related topics for your problem-based curriculum.
You will include and explain your concept map in your Week 6 assignment.
Preparation
You will start with your problem-based topic. From the topic, you will develop five related issues that you believe need to be discussed in your curriculum. You will then include two examples of credible, relevant, and appropriate sources to support each related issue.
If you choose, you may include more related issues, providing as much detail about the problem you want to explore.
Requirements
Complete the following:
1. Create a concept map that identifies your problem-based design topic.
2. Identify five issues related to the main topic you believe should be discussed in your curriculum.
3. Identify two examples of credible, relevant, and appropriate sources for each related issue.
· Sources must be cited according to Strayer Writing Standards.
ATTN: Citations should look as such: (Murthi, 1) and (MacCann, 2). Then under the Sources page, list the articles in numerical order to match the order in which you introduced the in-text citations in the paper. Remember, when two or more authors are listed in the article only use the first author’s last name when using an in-text citation to meet the SWS guidelines. In addition, under the sources page, list the full sources such as, Sources 1. Author’s First and Last Name. Year of Publication. (Do not use parenthesis)
