In this assignment, you will choose an ecosystem, do research on any website you like that is reputable about the organisms that live in that ecosystem, and create a food web using the guidelines below.
Create a food web that explains the relationship between common organisms found in one of the ecosystems below.
Oceanic zone
Intertidal zone
Estuary
River
Lake
Deep sea vent (abyssal zone)
Chaparral
Temperate rainforest
Tropical rainforest
Mountains
Desert
You should create (via drawing, sculpting, crafting, or using a computer program) an original food web diagram. You can print images to use in your diagram but you must create your own diagram and include your name and date on your creation. Look at an example below.
You must include organisms that represent the following categories for the members of your web:
2 primary consumers
2 secondary consumers
1 tertiary consumer
main producer(s)
detritivore(s)
decomposer(s)
Each organism should be labeled with their name and category (producer, detritivore, etc.).
