Healthcare policy briefs provide succinct overviews of healthcare policy topics. The intended audience is policymakers, journalists, and others concerned about improving healthcare in the United States. The briefs explore arguments from varying perspectives of a policy proposal. They guide available research behind each perspective. Healthcare policy briefs are created by experts in the field through funding from public and private grants.

You are expected to create a 10-15 “Voice Over” slide PowerPoint presentation with a citation identified to each slide, not including the title slide or reference slide.
Select one healthcare policy brief from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation website . To find a brief, type the word brief in the search bar on the home page and select one of the resulting briefs for the assignment.
1. Write an introduction that describes the role of the healthcare brief in impacting healthcare policy creation.
2. Identify the primary issue discussed in the brief, summarize the brief, and state the relationship of the issue to APN/APRN practice.
3. List at least three strengths and three weaknesses of the healthcare policy brief.
4. Describe at least three solutions or recommendations identified within the healthcare policy brief.
5. In your role as an APN/APRN, list at least three ways you would advocate for or against the healthcare policy creation at the system, local, regional, or national levels.
6. Write a conclusion presenting key takeaways.
