Your essay will be written in the first person and self-reflective in tone. Here are some key points that you may include:

What is the event? When?
What do you learn from this event?
What impressed you the most based on this experience?
Do you see any Opportunities? Challenges? of this organization from a volunteer perspective (what if you are the CEO, donor, or manager)
Check their website; how do you feel about their first impression? Do you see any opportunities there?
How does this organization help/contribute to the community?
Is this organization unique or not? Why? or why not?

You need to “apply” what you have learned to this organization/volunteer activity.
