3-Research the life and work of one of the following artists: Angelica Kauffmann, Rosa Bonheur, or Mary Cassatt. Write an essay discussing how the artist’s work relates to the artistic movements of her time. Students should include in their analyses how gender impeded artistic careers in the 18th and 19th centuries, and whether they think that female artists are as equally represented in art historical scholarship as their male contemporaries.
