Ok! It’s time to start developing a Research Question (RQ) and background information for your final project. 
Spend some time thinking about specific cases, laws, incidents, activists, examples, policies, etc. that you would like to research for this paper. This is pretty open-ended, my only requirements are that:
the topic be something that you can explore and analyze using the course concepts and that;

the topic be something you are specifically interested in learning more about.

Pitch 2 potential RQs, keeping in mind all of the advice covered in the PlayPosit tutorials

Gather 3-5 sources that will help you develop a background section for the topic. These can include:
History of the topic in the region or worldwide
Recent news stories that brought attention to the topic

Specific case examples (could be the case you are choosing, or other similar cases that help provide some context)

Any other materials that will help you develop a strong context for you analysis

If you get stuck, consider:

Identify and describe the place and situation you are investigating with your research question. Describe the geography, what makes this place different from others, what aspects are similar to other places? Why is this a good place to investigate the topic you describe in your research question?
How have Eurocentric models of ‘development’ shaped the way this place has changed over the last 50-100 years?
Are the human impacts on the environment evident there? In other words, how could you describe the Anthropocene in this place?
What are the global infrastructures that impact your topic in this place?

Is there a strong sense of identity (any kind, multiple kinds…) associated with this place? And does that impact the topic you have selected?
Are there any established resistance movements to the impacts of globalization associated with your topic in this place?
