James is a 34yo biracial (African American and Caucasian) man. He works as a long-distance truck driver and spends a great deal of time away from his family. In fact, he is usually only home ten out of 30 days monthly. He has been married for the past 10 years to his 30yo wife Lisa. They have two children, Isaac 12yo and Kaitlyn 8yo. They live in a tightknit community in a predominately rural town in West Virginia. While on the road, James was involved in a car accident and sustained fractures to his pelvis and ankle and significant lacerations to his right knee. Two of the other drivers involved in the accident died. James witnessed their deaths. James has spent a significant time in the hospital but has no other significant medical history aside from injuries sustained during the accident. James was recently discharged home to the care of his partner and children. Over the past 6 weeks, James’ wife has noticed that James has become even more withdrawn and avoids contacts with others (family and friends). He is also easily irritated and often has temper outbursts. He often wakes up in the middle of the night
