1. You can write a 2-3 page paper on the representation of Al of your choice, providing background and discussing how it corresponds to ideas we have studied which include the effects of AI from “the Machine stops” by E. M Forster, “Dick, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”, “Speak” by Louisa Hall, You want to show that you understand how themes and concepts in there translate to other works.
2. You can also respond with a multi-media presentation (visual or audio, for instance) and include a 1-page paper explaining your response and its connection to course themes. This is meant to be a way to show both your creativity and your knowledge of important themes in literature about the future. In the past, students have responded with multi-media presentations (using Powerpoint or Prezi, for instance), musical compositions, poetic and fictional works, and works of visual art.
