Healthcare diversity extends beyond cultural, racial, religion and personal identity. Diversity in healthcare can lead to cultural competency and also the ability for healthcare providers to offer services that meet the social and cultural needs of their patients.The better a patient is represented and understood, the better they can be treated. The best approach to understanding diversity is to be respectful and be open minded when it comes to adapting to a new and diverse environment.

Some steps that a healthcare organization takes to make sure that they meet the needs of a diverse community could be providing interpreter services, recruit and retain minority staff and increase cultural awareness and skills during training
2.Diversity deals with the variety of different perspectives represented on a team and is related to race and social justice issues, they are facets of a larger conversation and deals with a broad range of experiences like gender, sex, background, upbringing, religion, education, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, and life experience (Campbell, 2023). It means to understand the unique character and identifying their individual differences, personality, life experiences, and beliefs and it is a combination of people’s differences that shapes the world and the best approaches that will increase responsiveness to diversity need interventions at individual, organization and system level, health care professionals need a certain type of knowledge, skills, and attitudes, to make diversity services, policies, and practices in the work environment is very important, the types of diversity deals with internal, external, organizational, and worldwide, but in internal deals with race, age, ethnicity, nation, sex. gender identity, metal ability and physical ability. External deals with education, personal view, religious beliefs, location, family status and more. Organizational deals with job function, pay type, union affiliation, management status, employment status and more. Worldwide deals with morals, political beliefs, outlook on life, and more. I think that these categories are not to change, because respecting people’s rights, to self-identification that increase awareness like no one culture is higher than other people. i think that the diversity idea in lived experiences helps to recognize the unique set of challenges that every lives and makes people different that shapes life experiences and the care for the patient and identifying the diversity in lived experiences in our workplace make the company and workplace safe as it can be.
