OVERVIEWDiscerning and clarifying your research interests and knowing how to locate and evaluatescholarly sources of information are important skills for those interested in helping traumasurvivors. This assignment will encourage you to think deeper about the assessment andtreatment of trauma in an area that you are interested in. You will gain experience locating andselecting scholarly sources.INSTRUCTIONS/TOPICWrite a research paper of 10–12 pages of body text (not counting your title page, abstract, andreference pages) in current APA or Turabian standards. Discuss domestic violence and its affects and discuss appropriate assessment and treatment options from a Christian perspective. Incorporate a Biblical Worldview throughout. Use current research and scripture to support your discussion.? Length of paper: 10–12 pages – Points will be deducted if the paper is less than 10 pages(Excluding title page, abstract and references.)? Include at least 10 current references (within the last 8 years) – points will be deductedfor each missing current reference.? Follow current APA or Turabian standards. Review rubric for guidance.? Basic rule of thumb for citations in the paper. Citations with page numbers are neededfor direct quotes/common phrases (which should be very few), paraphrases of keyconcepts, and references to specific sections with a source.? Paper will be graded on thoroughness, content, use of theoretical material, and integrationof biblical perspective.? Plagiarism – Using or passing off someone else’s work as your own is a serious academicoffense. Plagiarizing your paper will result minimally in failure of the assignment.Plagiarizing can also result in automatic failure of the course and academic discipline.Please make sure that all work is your own or is cited appropriately.
