For this assignment, you will need to integrate that information into an introduction written in APA style. Please note the following:
You will need to pick a stress reduction technique (i.e., mindfulness, yoga) and write an introduction that leads to a hypothesis.
You can use the ones that were in the article assignments or pick another stress reduction technique! 

You must have 5 sources for your introduction.
You can use the articles that we read in the previous assignments (but you don’t have to do so)!
You do not have to complete this study! This is only an introduction! But your introduction needs to lead to your hypotheses.
You will need to complete the Title Page (Professional Paper), Introduction, and References assignment in APA style and upload it into D2L by the due date. Please see the APA style resources in D2L!
Writing an Introduction Section

PSYC 4100
The goals of the introduction section are to:
introduce the reader to the topic of the research
provide a justification for performing the research
present the research hypotheses
provide a strong foundation for the research hypotheses

The introduction section can be roughly broken down into the following subsections, although these sections should NOT have formal headings –
Opening paragraph
Literature review
Final paragraph(s) with hypotheses

Length – 1 – 2 pages maximum!
Below is further information about each of these subsections –
Opening paragraph

purpose is to introduce the topic and highlight general information about the topic
What is mindfulness?
conceptual definitions for your research variables can be presented in the opening paragraph or they can be presented throughout the literature review subsection
for example, what are the different types of mindfulness (or exercise, or yoga) you will use?

Literature review
this is the bulk of the introduction section
purpose is to explain what knowledge and information has been previously established on the topic

this knowledge and information comes from previously published journal articles, books, and so forth

whatever you present in this subsection should logically support your hypotheses
do NOT simply go through your articles one by one and summarize their findings

you MUST describe what the studies found in their results! Do not use information from the literature review of the paper! Focus on what they found!
organized into paragraphs that individually focus on specific themes/subtopics that are directly relevant to the purpose of your own project

each paragraph should begin with a clear topic sentence and end with a high-quality transition to the next paragraph

the topics should be ordered logically so the argument flows smoothly from one topic to the next

Final paragraph(s)
provides a brief description of the study (1-2 sentences)

formally presents the research hypotheses
provides an explicit rationale for these hypotheses

you can choose to present the research goals/purpose in this paragraph instead of in the opening paragraph (if you think it fits better here)
