The 46 year old patient with a diagnosis of paraplegia due to an incomplete severing of T5. The patient is participating in skilled occupational and physical therapy inpatient rehabilitation to work on transfer goals for a discharge to his best friend’s home. They will be discharged to a first floor set up with no steps to enter. They will require the use of a wheelchair for functional mobility. The patient has good trunk control when seated at the EOB. The patient does not have active movement in his bilateral LEs and requires the use of a sliding board to transfer in and out of bed.
