Insulin pump is removed and placed on insulin drip protocol. Pharmacy consult for glycemic management, HbA1c levels in a.m. We will monitor the blood sugars in the tele floor for now. The patient has brittle diabetes and also her blood sugars could be elevated secondary to urinary tract infection. Urinary tract infection. Has multiple drug allergies. We will place on IV Invanz. Follow the blood cultures. Chronic pain syndrome. Also placed on IV Dilaudid p.r.n. Hypertension. Continue Lopressor with holding parameters. Hyperlipidemia. Continue Zocor. Chronic smoking.
