Throughout the course of his presidency, the Trump administration has introduced and/or proposed numerous policies that have been the center of national and global debate and controversy.
You have recently started an organization that focuses on members who are impacted by these controversial policies. In light of these developments, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has decided to collaborate with you and your organization to deliver a press release in direct response to one of the administrations controversial policies.
As the head of your organization, you have been tasked to write a special press release using a selected Dr. King quote as your guide in addressing the particular policy of your choice. Your press release must include
• an eye-catching headline
• the name of your organization
• a brief explanation of the Trump administration’s policy (as you understand it)
• a statement as to why your organization supports or opposes the policy
• an explanation as to why this policy is important for you and your organization
• an explanation as to why the public should also be concerned with this policy
• the quote from Dr. MLK Jr. that’s guiding your organization’s position on the policy
• and any other relevant information you deem appropriate to share with your audience.
