Instructions:
You will write a 3-4 page, 12 point font, analytical essay on “Recitatif” by Toni Morrison. This will give you the opportunity to practice literary analysis. Interpret the short story from one of the critical perspectives. Your thesis must have some friction (that is, you should make some kind of argument rather than only summarizing the text) and your argument should be informed by outside research. Aim for 2-3 high-quality sources. Dont forget a works cited with the sources added.
